DMX4All Mini/Nano DMX Interface

Configurator.png

Here a DMX4All DMX interface (Mini or Nano) can be configured and connected.

Step 1 - Connect hardware and set Comm Port:

The DMX4All interface must be plugged into the computer.
The driver for the DMX4All interface must be installed (Windows: see www.DMX4All.de, Mac: FTDIUSBSerialDriverxxxx.dmg)

If the driver is installed and the device is plugged into the computer, all available ports are listed under Comm Port:

Under Windows:

CommPort.png   Refresh.pngupdates the list
The comm ports under Windows are COMx, where x is a number. For each USB device that communicates with the computer via a serial interface, a comm port is established. If several USB devices are available on the computer, several comm ports are also listed.
Either try the list or you look in the Windows Device Manager for the right port.

Under Mac OSX:
Since DMX4All does not offer its own MAC-driver for the MiniDMX USB interface, the FTDI driver (FTDIUSBSerialDriverxxxx.dmg) must be installed - see https://www.ftdichip.com.
The NanoDMX USB Interface has an Atmel-chip.
In the list of comm ports, locate the serial port
(tty.usbserial-xxxxxxx).

Baudrate
Please select 38400.
The DMX4All interfaces (Mini and Nano) offers two transfer rates (19200 or 38400 baud).

Step 2 - Hardware connection

If everything is set, the DMX4All interface can be connected.
